40+ YEARS SHAPING THE YEARS THAT SHAPE A LIFE.
THE FORMATIVE YEARS ARE NOT A WARM-UP. THEY ARE WHERE EVERYTHING BEGINS. ELC EXISTS FOR EXACTLY THIS WINDOW.
CHILDHOOD IS THE FOUNDATION OF A LIFE.
We prepare children for who they are becoming.
THIS IS ELC
WHAT MAKES ELC DIFFERENT?
Five things that work together as a system. Not one of them is accidental.
12 to 14 children per class
Our classes are small enough that every child gets the attention and instruction they need. This is a deliberate philosophical choice.
Creation, synthesis, investigation
Instead of memorisation, we focus on project-based learning rooted in the Reggio approach. This teaches children how to think, not just what to think.
Studios, labs, and research spaces in one
Our ateliers are designed around the Reggio belief that the environment is a third teacher. When a space is beautiful and purposeful, children think differently within it.
Observing how children think
Every day, our educators observe and record each child’s thinking process: a question that surprises a teacher, a moment of genuine discovery, or a child working through something difficult. This is how we come to truly know your child and show you that learning is taking place.
Exclusively focused on the early years since 1986
Our approach predates the neuroscience that validates it and the modern conversations about AI, creativity, and the future of work. We were not following a trend; the trend caught up with us. That is not just tradition. That is vindication.
A STRONG CURRICULUM. A DISTINCT WAY OF LEARNING.
ELC integrates the Reggio Emilia philosophy with Canada’s Ontario Curriculum, combining deep inquiry-led learning with clear academic structure and progression. The Ontario Curriculum provides rigour, coherence, and transferability. Reggio informs how learning is explored, expressed, and experienced. Together, they ensure children build strong academic foundations while preserving curiosity, creativity, and depth of thinking.
This means that children are not just passively soaking up information. Instead, they actively build their own knowledge by asking questions, exploring, and figuring out how the world works.
Three things define how this works every day:
Inquiry-led learning
Children explore big ideas through questions, investigation, and reflection. The curriculum starts in the moment before the answer.
Project-based experiences
Extended projects connect disciplines and build real-world problem-solving skills. A single thread held across weeks becomes something a child understands at depth, not surface.
Educators who listen before they teach
The teacher's first role is to observe, to notice what a child is already thinking before deciding what comes next. That is what makes learning here genuinely responsive rather than delivered.
OUR CAMPUSES
INSPIRING ENVIRONMENTS FOR MEANINGFUL LEARNING
At ELC, learning extends beyond the classroom—our environment is a ‘third teacher,’ designed to spark curiosity and exploration. Our five boutique campuses in Thonglor and Nichada Thani offer an intimate, nature-infused setting where children learn, play, and connect.
With lush gardens, dynamic research Ateliers, and thoughtfully designed play areas, our campuses provide a fairytale-like setting that inspires hands-on learning, creativity, and meaningful connections.
COMMUNITY
SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS, LIFELONG CONNECTIONS
Settling into a new city is effortless at ELC. Our centrally located campuses in Bangkok’s most family-friendly neighborhoods offer easy access to housing, vibrant communities, and city conveniences. Each day, parents walk their children to class and connect in the Parent Piazza—a welcoming space that fosters friendships and a strong sense of belonging. More than just a school, ELC is a home where lifelong connections are made.

HOW WE BEHAVE, DECIDE, AND DESIGN EVERY DAY.
A dynamic, hands-on, and minds-on approach to learning, designed for the formative years that shape how children think, feel, and learn.
Every child is capable
We begin with trust in the child’s intelligence, agency, and potential. This is not an aspiration; it is our starting point.
Learning is co-constructed
Designed with rigorous intention
Nothing here is accidental. We observe deeply, listen closely, and design every interaction with purpose.
Belonging comes first
We design the school around the child, not the average. So every child is seen, known, and genuinely challenged.
Curiosity is the engine
Joy, beauty, and open-ended inquiry fuel deep thinking and sustained intellectual growth.
Beauty is not decoration
Beautiful and intentional environments are a form of pedagogy, inviting care, attention, and wonder. In this sense, the environment itself becomes a teacher.
WHAT DOES AN ELC CHILD LOOK LIKE AT YEAR 6?
Not a set of certificates. A way of being.
"WE CAN ALWAYS TELL WHO THE ELC KIDS ARE. THEY'RE THE ONES WHO NEVER STOP ASKING QUESTIONS."

READY FOR LIFE, NOT JUST THE NEXT SCHOOL.
What children leave with:
- Confidence and a strong sense of self
- Solid academic foundations built through depth and understanding
- Creativity and critical thinking grounded in real inquiry
- Emotional intelligence, agency, and independence
- The confidence to move to any school, any country, and feel at home
We work closely with every family to find the right school for their child’s future development, not just the most prestigious one. Almost without exception, our children are offered their first choice.
INCLUSION BY DESIGN. SUPPORT AS A WAY OF BEING.
At ELC, inclusion means shaping the environment so every child can participate, connect, and thrive. It is action, adapting learning in real time to the child, because learning only happens when children feel they belong.
Our Student Services and Wellbeing team brings together learning support, EAL, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, play and art therapy, and extended pathways, all working as one integrated team, not as separate services.
Support includes:
- Personalised learning plans
- Social-emotional support embedded daily
- Collaboration with specialist educators and therapists
- Close partnership with familiesv
THE DOVE PROGRAMME AT ELC
The Dove Programme is a specialised pathway within the full ELC learning community. It offers personalised learning in a joyful, Reggio-inspired environment where children feel capable and supported. It is not a therapy centre separate from school life; it is a specialised programme woven into school life, so children with additional learning needs experience real belonging.
- One integrated team: educators, therapists, and families
- Very small groups, maximum six children
- Therapies embedded in daily learning, not added on separately
- Real belonging within the ELC community
OUR BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY
Surrounding children with beauty shows them their world and ideas matter. A beautiful environment encourages focus, curiosity, and respect. It’s a core part of creating a meaningful learning experience.
ELC parents do not stumble in. They chose us deliberately. So did our teachers. That shared conviction creates something rare: a community where parents are genuine partners in their child’s learning, present and contributing to it. Children, parents, and educators act as co-creators. That community becomes our strongest advocate.
SOME THINGS CANNOT BE DESCRIBED, ONLY EXPERIENCED.
ELC welcomes families from 18 months to Year 6, across five campuses in Bangkok. Places are limited by design.
