ELC Summer programme 2026
A summer of joy, wonder and discovery!
Children explore inspiring environments where curiosity leads the way. Through light, nature, movement, and creative investigation, they develop confidence, imagination, and a deeper connection to the world around them.
Our programme provides a nurturing space where young learners observe, build, question, and collaborate through meaningful play. Each day invites children to express ideas, make discoveries, and experience the joy of learning within a caring and supportive community.

SESSION 1 - ELEMENTS OF LIGHT AND SHADOW
Light is a magical and ever-changing element that shapes how we see and experience the world. Young children are naturally fascinated by light — how it moves, transforms spaces, and creates wonder.
Through exploration of natural sunlight, artificial light sources, reflective materials, and different environments, children investigate how light travels, changes, and interacts with objects. They observe how light passes through materials, reflects off surfaces, and creates shadows that shift and disappear.
These playful investigations encourage children to ask questions, test ideas, and form their own theories about how light works. As they explore light and shadow, children develop early scientific thinking, creativity, and visual awareness while deepening their sense of curiosity and discovery.
“Every shade and light contains smaller shades and lights within it, creating a never-ending pattern of complexity and beauty.”
SESSION 2 - STRUCTURAL LANDSCAPES
“The structure of life… is deeply connected with the human person and with the innermost nature of human feeling.”
— Christopher Alexander, Architect & Design Theorist
Our garden — filled with bamboo tree houses, flowering plants, and living ecosystems — invites children into a world of curiosity, exploration, and discovery. As they climb, observe insects, gather natural materials, and move through shared spaces, children actively make sense of their environment through play.
In these rich outdoor experiences, children begin to notice patterns, shapes, and relationships. They organise their discoveries, invent games together, and map the spaces around them, naturally developing early mathematical thinking, spatial awareness, and social understanding.
Structures exist everywhere — in nature, communities, and even within ourselves. By exploring both natural and human-made structures, children learn how elements connect, grow, and belong together. The colours, lines, and repeating patterns found in nature support children in building order, confidence, and meaning in their world.
Through Structural Landscapes, children experience harmony between thinking, feeling, and learning, nurturing curiosity while laying strong foundations for future learning.
