ELC Summer programme 2026
Summer Festival of the Arts 2026 | K2 Programme
-
Our K2 Summer Programme invites children to deepen their creativity and thinking through rich, inquiry-based experiences inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. Drawing from both the K1 and K2 curriculum, children explore ideas through art, storytelling, design, movement, and collaborative projects that encourage self-expression, problem-solving, and imagination.
In a warm and supportive learning environment, children strengthen independence, communication skills, and social connections while developing confidence as capable learners and creators.
Families may choose between two learning environments:
- English Programme — a fully English-speaking classroom
- Mandarin Immersion Programme — co-taught by a Mandarin-proficient teacher and an English-proficient teacher
- To support continuity and relationship-building, programme placement is confirmed at registration and cannot be changed later.

Session 1: Culinary Connections
Dive into the world of the culinary arts as we explore cuisines and cultures from around the world. Through a variety of sensory activities, engaging recipes, expressive languages, and imaginative play, your child will develop an appreciation for the importance of nutrition and the role that food plays within communities. With hands-on
experiences in measurement, cooking, and global citizenship, your little chef will come away from this experience with a newfound appreciation for how they source and experience food. Join us for an adventure of delicious discovery!
Session 2: Mindfulness and the Senses
Mindfulness is an essential skill that helps develop self-awareness and self-regulation. In a world that is in constant motion, mindfulness can help us truly experience life rather than letting it pass us by. Join us to discover the art of being fully aware of the present moment. Through sight, taste, smell, touch, sound and movement, the children will immerse themselves in the sensory exploration of their world as they learn techniques and develop tools to quiet their minds and slow down to savour its wonders, richness, rhythms, and nuances.
