End of Term Farewell and Happy Holidays!

As we come to the end of the academic year, we would like to wish all our ELC families a wonderful summer break. Whilst we started this year online, we are so happy that we can now bring the year to completion with the children in person – the first time in three years – so we can celebrate their unique learning journeys of which they can all be proud. It has been another year of change and uncertainty for many, but once again the children have shown such resilience and adaptability, and have thrived. It has been a joy to watch them rekindle old friendships and build new ones, discovering, developing, and growing as people.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who are bidding farewell to ELC for their contributions to the school – you have each had a beautiful, lasting impact on your classmates and colleagues, and we wish you all the very best.

Enjoy the summer holidays with family and friends and we look forward to the new academic year with renewed positivity.

Co-Constructing a Climate-Resilient Future: Putting Our Trust in the Children
On UN Earth Day this week, our Head of The City School, Dr. Lea, and our Y1-2 Project Coordinator, Ms. Sam, presented a webinar to the international educational and development community entitled ‘Co-Constructing a Climate-Resilient Future: Putting Our Trust in the Children’, with a participating audience of professionals from Bangladesh to Ethiopia, Nepal to the US. Hosted by the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood, and in collaboration with Save the Children, our educators showcased how ELC’s The City School is committed to empowering children to prepare for climate resilience and work for sustainable development, and how our Reggio Emilia approach to education cultivates those skills and character for our children to be world-changers.
