Fun Field Day 2023

Fun Field Day!

A firm favourite amongst the children, this event brings the whole school together for a day of healthy competition, teamwork, and fun! Today the children were split into mixed year group teams – giving the older children an opportunity to model sportsmanship and facilitate collaboration – to take part in a host of different activities: wall-climbing, obstacle courses, shoot the targets, digging for gold, and dance-offs, as well those more strategic games, which flex the brain as much as the body!

Fun Field Day is also the first event at which the Year 6 children take on their roles and responsibilities as part of the student council leadership programme. This day gives them an opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills as they lead the K2 and Y1 activities, with assistance from our teachers.

Where Storytelling begins…
We have an exciting new space at the City School in our Thai house, dedicated to storytelling and writing. Over the past few weeks, Ms. Rachael, our Literacy Coordinator, has invited the children into this space to explore its delights, to take a journey through literature, and to dream up ideas.
