Happy Lunar New Year 2022

Happy Lunar New Year 2022, the Year of the Tiger – to all our ELC families and community! 新年快乐

ELC has been awash in flashes of red with the children adorned in their beautiful clothing to join in the celebrations. They have enjoyed learning about the origins of Lunar New Year and participating in games and dance.

In Chinese mythology and culture, the tiger is considered to be the king of all animals, symbolizing courage, vitality, growth, leadership, and confidence. Let us look forward to this year with these qualities to overcome challenges, welcome the opportunity to renew our connections with one another, and strive for good health and wellbeing.

We wish all who celebrate a joyous occasion with their families an auspicious year ahead!

Year 4 Project: Journeys of Wisdom
For their Project this year, our Year 4 children embarked on an extraordinary journey into outer space. Each journey, we believe, is a repository of knowledge and wisdom. We live in a world abundant with data and information, but wisdom is scarce, and this became an anchor point in their Project journey. Inspired by the James Webb Telescope, and talks with NASA expert, the children set about to design their very own exoplanet.
