Aside from our high-quality teachers, our environment at ELC is a ‘third teacher’, one that is ever-changing and adapting to the needs and interests of the children. The atelier spaces are designed to be flexible, open-ended, and evolving, so that our children can actively explore and experiment with different materials and mediums relevant to their current discoveries in Project. A recent Y1 Project around Cities of Dancing Light, inspired a reset of one of our ateliers; it is now a space that interacts with the natural morning light, where children can go to test their hypotheses around shadow and reflection, and develop new understandings.
Recently featured in ScandAsia, ELC’s Rewilding Space shows the power of child-led learning in action. Rooted in curiosity, innovation, and empathy, this vibrant project brings science, technology, and creativity together—proving that when children lead, they grow not just in knowledge, but in character and purpose.
